the Arts and Culture festival-April 26th
This year we are combining the Arts and Culture festival with Arts Alive, which means every student will have a piece of artwork displayed!
We are excited to be having our second annual Arts and Culture Festival for School of the Incarnation on Friday, April 26 from 1:30-4:00pm. We would like to have many cultures, authentically represented from our community. If your family has first hand knowledge of culture from another country, please consider sharing some aspect of that culture. Culture can include anything from food and clothes, to different celebrations, dance, or music. Please consider how your family might help us make the Arts and Culture Festival a success. You do not need to be present for the entirety of the event if you are not able. If you have questions or a way that you would like to contribute, please fill out this form, or email sspaulding@schooloftheincarnation.org
Friendly reminders:
*Fitbits, apple watches, GPS trackers, etc.. are items that need to stay at home. On page 51 in the parent/student handbook-it states that they are not permitted.
*Oral activities to practice in the car or while making dinner-spew out random math facts& or ask the kids to jazz up a sentence. They can use adjectives/synonyms/vivid words.. For example-"The cat is big." Ask them to describe the cat itself. i.e.-The cat is big and furry. The orange cat is big. I would love for them to JAZZ up their writings with more things like this. We will be doing more activities in class to help with this concept(Mentor sentences).

Tidbits
Every Friday will be a spirit wear day. That means your child will need to wear a shirt that has School of the Incarnation on it. If your child wears an outfit with just the school colors that is not considered Spirit wear.
Please send us you child's parish where they will be receiving their sacraments.
When your child is doing their Math homework, if it becomes a big struggle, please have your kiddo put their pencil down and write a quick note letting me know. Homework should be a task that reinforces what your child learned and UNDERSTOOD in class that day. Also, can you please sign your child’s homework. This lets us know that you did see it and are aware of any areas that we may need to go over with your kiddos!
*Please have your kiddo play with coins. Every morning we make the date in terms of money. We talk about the values of coins as well. We also talk about the days of the week, months, weeks and days in the year. We also discuss am/pm. These are just fun talking points to have with your kiddo-car, dinner time, etc..
